Continuing Education Programs

Vital Care, Inc. is an approved provider of a variety of professional licensure Boards. Continuing education programs can be presented to your local referral sources as a community service and marketing opportunity. Currently there are over 40 programs designed to educate area healthcare professionals on the most frequently prescribed home infusion therapies as well as the devices used to deliver these medications to the patient. Vital Care will send a highly qualified nurse educator to present the program. Our Clinical Department continues to update courses, while creating new, innovative ones to meet the needs of each location. Vital Care also offers the Infusion Instructor's course that can certify a nurse/pharmacist from your location to teach a select number of programs in your area.

Managed Care Contracting

Vital Care identifies new payer organizations, negotiates local level contracts, and helps inform owners of requirements for participation in current and new contracts. Each eligible location is automatically enrolled in existing contracts.

Clinical Services

Vital Care provides pharmacists, nurses and a dietitian with extensive knowledge and backgrounds in home infusion therapy who provide clinical consultation specific to each therapy and patient.

Quality Assurance Standards

Headed by a clinician certified in healthcare quality management, the QA department reviews all current legislative and accreditation mandates, keeping you informed of important issues and changes.

Corporate Compliance Program

The Corporate Compliance Department of Vital Care, Inc. assists our corporate departments in developing company audits to maintain regulatory requirements. Led by a nationally recognized director, our Corporate Compliance program continuously develops processes to actively monitor quality assurance and regulatory procedures. Vital Care franchised pharmacies are also provided with resources and tools to develop and maintain a compliance program at each individual location.

Vital Care Accreditation Program (VCAP)

VCAP is an internal quality assurance program designed to improve the quality of the clinical and management aspects of your pharmacy. The purpose of this program is to provide consultation services to your location, as to prepare for mandatory accreditation surveys.

CareEndsĀ® Outcomes Monitoring

The purpose of CareEndsĀ® is to collect, aggregate, and report data on clinical outcomes and patient perception (customer satisfaction) of home infusion patients. The program’s benchmarking capability allows each pharmacy to compare its performance ratings against other home infusion pharmacies through an internal comparative data set.

Nutritional Support Team

A pharmacist, dietitian, and nurse provide clinical nutrition services to enteral and parenteral patients, as well as consultative and educational services to referral sources. The Vital Care Nutrition Support Team mirrors the hospital nutrition support team, which makes for an easy transition for the patient from the hospital to the home.

Vital Care Annual Conference and Exhibition

An annual educational program that includes programs on new regulations, products, marketing techniques, market trends and any other issues affecting our industry. Exhibits include representatives from some of the industry’s leading companies.
